Mikey Foster Estes (b. 1991, Park Ridge, IL) is an artist whose practice is rooted in the everyday and spans performance, photography, sculpture, video, and writing. His work has been exhibited at numerous venues in Phoenix, including Eye Lounge, Fine Art Complex 1101, Mood Room, and Northlight Gallery. In addition to showing locally, his work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. In 2020, he presented “Living Room,” a live-streamed performance developed for a series of events organized by nueBOX. His video “Private Rainbows” will be included in COLOR: the beauty of science and color, a group exhibition opening in Fall 2021 at Tempe Center for the Arts. He holds an MFA from Hunter College, City University of New York, and a BFA from Arizona State University, where he now teaches. His third and final solo exhibition at Eye Lounge will open in January 2022.
